I have around £22,000 and would like a good sporty car. Already have a large car so it doesn't have to be particularly practical. Any suggestions?

My husband has just bought a Subaru Impreza WRX Sports Wagon, I don't know much about cars but I know I like that one!!

He has always had BMW's or Mercs and wanted a change. It is ridiculously fast and within your budget brand new. I like the look of it, I know most people say they are ugly but for performance there is nothing better for less money!

Another car he used to own was an Audi TT which was given to me after 6 months as he got another, again that is a fast car, not nearly as fast as the subaru but I must admit, looks better.

If you go second hand, Mercedes do a great line in sports coupe's?

Hope this helps x

You could probably pick up a practically new Alfa Romeo Brera....they're just a little less cliched than the usual stuff and they look great. Don't buy a Mazda MX unless you're a hairdresser.

the last 2 years of the mazda rx7 were rockets. IIRC 96 & 97. they would outrun, outcorner, and outstop anything not costing twice as much. new they were under 50 grand. they were in effect out and out road legal racers. that little rotory can kick some serious a**
