God said the world was good just the way it is.. Even with death and suffering, the earth is still good. The problem isn't with God, it's all in the matter of how you perceive things. When you see someone die you may think that is terrible. However from an eternal perspective it may have been a good thing. There is also the matter that trials and adversity help form the heros of today. A person isn't measured by how well he does when times are easy, but by how well he does when times are very, very hard.

As I recall, the first flood was intentional--not an oversight! And as for earthquakes, some scientists believe that Mars is lifeless because it has no earthquakes. Over time, carbon dioxide in the air reacts with rocks and the carbon becomes trapped in the ground. Earthquakes release the carbon back into the atmosphere to form CO2, creating a greenhouse effect. Without earthquakes, Mars' atmosphere got thinner and thinner, and the planet got colder and colder, until it was no longer suitable for life.

God (although I'm not sure, out of the many that are worshipped, to which you are referring) did not make anything.

Since they are the figment of many imaginations they cannot affect the real world at all, except through the corrupted minds of those who practise religious beliefs. Particularly those of many religions, especially christianity, who resort to violence, hatred and destruction in the pursuit of the nonsense with which they have been indoctrinated.
