Think that the whole thing was hindering progress of solving the war on terror, due to the lack of cooperation, and back-biting? And should the election process be suspended federally during time of national life threats, and war? Now that the election is completed, they seem to be working at the solution in a more harmonious way.

I make numerous calls on behalf of a national charity. There are certain numbers I call on different days and at different times but I always get an 'engaged' type signal. At least, it seems slightly different from the 'standard' engaged tone you get when the remote receiver is actually in use.

It is very difficult to describe this tone - I can only describe it as seeming rather more 'remote' than the standard engaged tone.

Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, what is causing it to happen?

I know this is long but bear wi/ me... went to a weiner roast with my youth group last night...we had a bonfire...etc. Well anyway some people were around the fire...some were sitting at picnic tables and some were up on this big platform that was around a tree and you climbed a ladder to get up onto it. After I ate my friends were all someplace else so I climbed up there and sat. There was this guy up there who introduced himself to me and we sat there for the rest of the time. It was like and hour and a half. We talked...he let me listen to stuff on his Ipod...(we talked about music...our favorite bands) He brought me a drink (and a glow stick...lol) and he offered me a hand up when it was time to go. And then he hugged me when I left. I don't normally go for blonds (lol) but he is really cute. But more importantly...does he like me? Honest opinions please...thanks!
Also.Every quiz I've taken (and I've had friends tell me) that I buddy up with guys too much...how can I flirt safely?

Three weeks ago I started communicating with a woman who read an online profile of mine and decided that I was just the kind of woman she'd been searching for. We are both in our forties, formerly married to men, and have children living at home. We are also both Christians and very family oriented. I was just as taken with her from the start as she was with me. But here's the thing: She pretty much decided after talking to me for hours over a period of three days that she wanted to settle down with me and make a commitment. She immediately began talking about details of ceremonies, where we might live, houses, the kids, trips she wanted to take with me, rings she wanted to buy me, etc. It was flattering, but overwhelming. She is really serious, and says she doesn't believe in "long courtships." And, yet, she hasn't even told me once that she's in love with me. When I mentioned that, she said, "I love your spirit, and that's even more important." Is this just the Taurus in her?

I have not seen my parnets in over a year because of some diffrences we have but i miss them and i want my kids to see them. I am sick and tired when my hair gets so messy in the morning...I spent hours drying it and straighten it into style the night before. But, I heard that if you buy a Slik pillowcase it doesn't wreak your hair when your moving about in your sleep. But Im worried though, moving my hair about on the Silk pillowcase, will it create static?? Have you any tips?

I started a job in electronics retail in late Septmber. The problem was that I was unable to get a job at any of the places I wanted to work, so I thought i'd take this as a last resort.

The thing is that I really badly want a job in publishing, and in the new year I hope to look for one. My question is when is it acceptable to quit this current job?

Obviously this job required training and people looking out for me when I started, and I appreciate that. I also like everyone I work with. The thing I want to do is time my leaving to an extent that its not a slap in the face for them.

I don't want to leave too soon because it will make me look/feel ungrateful after they put their trust in hiring me. But then again its not making me happy, and the wages are poor and I have a right to find a better job.

When do you think I should quit. At the moment I reckon mid/late January (i'll have been there 4 months) because its not leaving the company in the lurch (christmas is over by then).
