how much will Apple etch on them? cost?
what 3rd party people do etching?

I just bought my daughter an Ipod for Christmas from the Ipod store. Right now Apple is doing the laser etching and the shipping for free on the Ipod's and the Nano's. You get two lines of text with your purchase.

What a nice gift. They'll do it for free depending on where you buy it. So ask before you buy them if they do or do not etch the iPods. Good Luck and my best wishes on your wedding.
