My community theatre is in desperate need of some decent roles for women who are 20-30 years old, so I'm searching for plays to present to the selection committee. We've done enough thoroughly light-hearted, even corny-as-hell, productions--we need something that is a bit hard hitting, or at least, more mature. We'd like to move the sense of humour further toward the 'dry wit' end of the spectrum (away from slapstick). Our theatre isn't exactly brimming over with young male actors, so that is a bit of an obstacle. Basically, we're pretty open to plays from any era, of any subject matter...anything that will allow the actress(es) to push themselves. Cheers.
