I have a huge black male, and a huge tuxedo male cat, that get along just fine together. Each time I introduce them to other color cats...they never get along. I tried a siamese, a calaco, an all white cat, and a tabby. The boys just don't like other cats? Is it because they are not the same type? The other cats were different genders by the way.

They don't want to share you with another cat. If they thought you were going to like this cat and bring it home, well they were not having any of that. This is my House and My human and you Mr Siamese, or what ever color you are, get lost. Every single one of my cats has be jealous as hell.

Most cats just don't like other cats (at first anyways). They like each other because they KNOW each other... but there's almost always some bickering when another cat is added to the mix. I'm sure color has nothing to do with it.

Interestingly, I have a disabled cat. He was born missing a bone in each front leg, so he has short, curved front legs. He moves around like a rabbit - very happy kitty, VERY sociable, LOVES people including strangers, etc. Anyway... most cats have no problem with him, but I had ONE foster cat who HATED HIM. He got along with all my other cats but he would seek out my disabled cat and pick fights with him! It was so bad that I had to keep them separated.

So anyway... some cats can be prejudiced... but I don't think it's based on color. : )

Could be. I have ten cats. Three males and the rest females. Two of them are black and the other female cats hate the two black cats. I have one gray female Manx and she is hated by the same female cats. I do not know if it is a color thing or a female thing. the male cats gat along fine with all of them.

Cats have a hard time adjusting to new cats in the household. But yes, I suppose they are racist in a way, they do not really like the feline race. They don't care about colour, breed or sex. Most cats simply do not like other cats! I have a strange bunch myself. They do not like other cats, but dogs are OK (!?!?) They are 13 & 14 years old. If you are introducing a kitten it may work out over time. But if you are trying to introduce adult cats....don't count on peace for a very long time IF they even decide to accept it.

well I have a Taby male...and other taby's, russian blues...whatever you name it..don't get along with him at all. He try's to be friends but ends up getting attacked by other male and even female cats.

its all about territory and no cat wants a new cat on its block. bottom line!

its not racism...its "territorism" hehe..

at least your two cats get along with each other...thats all that matters
