Hardware: The MacBook Pro is the best laptop money can buy.
Software: OSX Tiger is at least as advanced as Windows Vista. OSX Leopard - dubbed Vista 2.0 - is out next Spring. Microsoft Office 2004 runs on the MacBook Pro, and Office For Mac 2007 is out next Spring.

Why then is anyone still using a PC? And why is anyone even contemplating buying Vista?

The only reason I can think of is that you are all cowards. You are afraid to leave your Microsoft OS world and enter the Apple OS Universe!

Wake up and smell the silicon!

Well give me the money to buy one and I will !!!!! My money gets spent on buying PS2's and Nintendo DS's and pc's for my kids rather than buying myself anything.

It's simple.. On average Apple computers cost more then PC's, so in my opinion this would be the main problem.
On the other hand not so many software are designed to work with Mac OS. The OSX on Apple has always been way ahead over what windows was capable of offering. Microsoft knows Apple is a tough competitor therefore it's in its best interest to create programs compatible with it.
I don't say user's are cowards, it's just they don't have the alternative..
I don't know how many times I've said this... Microsoft didn't create Apple!!!! :)). The first Apple OS was created in 1976. At that time Microsoft didn't even exist... The first OS Microsoft created was Xennix in 1980 (it was based on Unix). Because they didn't achieve anything with it (it was highly unstable), Microsoft left the Unix concept in 1981, when it released the first version of DOS.

Why would you call them cowards? This is like saying a Chevy Truck is better than a Ford Truck. I really think it comes down to preference. Both OSes can do the tasks for any user. I myself recently bought a MacBook and I'm very happy with it. I know so much more about Windows though but Mac OS X was easy enough to learn and use. I'm one of those people who used to build their own PCs by buying the parts online. This summer however I decided to buy a MacBook and I've been happy with that choice.

Why is anyone using a PC? Because the macbook pro is NOT the best laptop available. The GPU's have been PROVEN to be underclocked. In addition, there is very little software support since macs only make up FIVE PERCENT of the computer market. In addition, most macs are overpriced and underperform, such as the underclocked GPU's. Real computer users build their own PC based systems and most of them overclock their CPU's to extreme speeds. I'm running a Core 2 Duo e6300 1.86ghz at 3.0ghz and have 2gb ram, 750gb hdd storage, and two 7950gtx's SLI. I'd like to see any mac in the world beat that. Just bring it fanboy.

By the way, apple is a LIFESTYLE PC for pseudo intellectual retards who spend their days sipping coffee and leeching off crappy wifi in some lame coffee shop pretending like they are better than the rest of the world because they are elitist jackasses.

you should have done your study formerly you purchased it. A Mac isn't made for gaming (in truth, maximum laptops make adverse gaming pcs). The keyboard on a computer IS small, that is purely how that is. i appreciate my MacBook professional, I did get the improve so I have a larger show screen. An HP Pavillion is going to be more low-priced, yet as small as a Macbook.

You Mac fanatics are always boasting about your products. If you know your Apple history, Microsoft created your OS.

Mac's are cool but they are so expensive. In fact, the prices of Apple products are so bloated. They price their product beyond the reach of common man. Majority of people around the globe are not rich like you do so we buy PC.

The advantage of PC are the cheap and numerous hardware and softwares. Moreover more games are available for PC. Flexibility wise, PC is the best.

Not cowards, just ignorant. After decades of being under the heel of MS software, most PC users have concluded that all computers must be difficult. It's always amazing to see their surprise when they use a Mac and learn that computers don't have to be difficult at all.
