What is this about? This is not developing into anything so I have started to date others. What do I do? I do love him. I think neither one of us want to take the leap.

There is something wrong with this situation. He's probably hiding something, because any normal guy would take you out to have a good time. And what he's saying really does not make sense because he's not getting to know you. He should see you outside of friends and home life. That's good you're dating others now.

You should use your communication skills to express how you're feeling. If you don't allow him to recognize that there are things you want to do with him and that you'd like to go out and have a good time, then the relationship will end because no one has expressed how they feel! You have to open up if you want any result.

i wouldnt worrya bout it, some people just like to be comfortable. the like quit adn relaxing environments.
i know a few friends that dont like getting together with other people because they feel out of place.
why dont you try taking him to the cinema or to a park or something else that he enjoys, you might find he opens up enought to goto more public places with you.
oh and it dont mean he dont love you, he probbably lvoes you very much, just try thinking about how he might feel in a crouded place. oh and even a restaront in a little secluded place can be crouded. find out what he likes and supprise him.

Well, have you talked to him about it? You know, guys feel alot more secure around their home or friends, becuase they are scared they will mess up if they take you on a date. He might be scared that he will mess up and you might not want to be with him anymore.

don't worry, that's happen to me too. he really likes you and he doesn't realize what he's saying, i don't think that he is ready for that kind of a commitment as yet. give it some time.
