I was just talking to someone I looked up to, and he said to me that most "girls" from my country go to other countries for "jobs" and end up getting screwed. Apart from knowing i have a degree in IT he still talks to me as if im nothing but a dumb prostitute just because some girls from my coutnry end up whoring themselves because of the ILLNESS of the government.

Hes a white american guy and I wont tell you his name because under your constitution that would be defamation as he is a public figure. Now SCREW HIM.

my bf gave me one of his vehicles...its an '03 mustang...i had a car of my own...but i sold it because i didnt need it any more. it was just taking up space in our apartment parking lot. the mustang is still in his name...and we chose to keep it that way because he is a fireman and has specialized plates on it...plus cops dont pull over firemen...they work as a team (unless im like driving on the median) and i have a heavy foot and tend to go fast and cant really afford speeding tickets...now...if we were to ever break up and the car is still in his name, but is technically mine...am i out of a car?

i have a ex who sees my children a few time a week he wont arrange with me when he see them he sorts it out with my 11 year old daughter he picks them up and will not tell me when he is going to drop them off he just says when they get bored so my boyfriend and i cant go any where my daughter is not his but he is good enough to still see her his son is very loyal to me and i have no problems but my daughter is giving me hell she comes home with bags full of sweets which i have 2 step kids at home aswell and in my house i only allow sweets once a week so she sits there and eats the whole bag when i try to take them off her she says she will tell dad ! he knows i am scared of him and i feel im trying just to keep evryone happy please help

Hi,
I'm going to get married with my Indian boyfriend next year. What do you think what can I expect? we love each other very strong, we also both admit that there are cultural differences that will be quite tough to get through but we are also sure that God sent us to the Earth fo be happy with each other.
His parents are also happy for me, I talked to his sister on the phone, they are very nice.
His parents are pushing our marriage that I do not mind at all, since I also want it very strongly :-))))
My question is how should I imagine the Indian wedding? what are the expectations I need to meet? what are the traditions? do I need to bring any kind of presents? What is the role of the bride at a marriage?
I have seen the film 'Monsoon wedding' but I assume it is far from reality.
Please help me.

It's pretty straightforward, I think, just a request for information...

So if someone asks a question that goes against your beliefs, do you answer the question or do you tell them they are wrong? Which do you actually think is more constructive?

I'm not really mad, just frustrated at every question I ask being read into and my beliefs being interpreted incorrectly.

I'm considering taking some Hapkido lessons. I very much so appreciate the art of it but I also want to know whether or not it's applicable in real-life situations. Does anybody know whether or not Hapkido would be an effective art to learn when it comes to real raw fights on the streets?
