I really appreciate your answer, but I want to know the word ' telethron', not telethon. Thanks!

In English the tele- (τηλε in Greek) part of a word usually means "at a distance" as in telephone ~ sound at a distance.

The "thron" part of the word could be from the same source as the word throne, (θρονος thronos) , with the associated meanings of kingship, power of a monarch, seat of power.

So telethron might mean "monarch's power at a distance"
or "kingship over a long distance"
