Because that is how it works. It is a trick - there are rules of how to do it - people that do not tell you that it is a trick are lying to you, The only reason I don't like them is because they frequently play off the fears or pain of people - like when a family member or loved one has died. The exploit that human feeling of grief to make money, and to my mind that makes them the worst kind of as*holes.

If you want to see it done really well - better even than the guys on TV who talk to the dead and such - go see a Penn & Teller show. They do the whole thing exactly as you see it done by the tricksters on TV.

Let me leave you with one thought. How come when these guys are supposedly talking to someone's dead realtive, they never get all the letters in a name right? I mean, if a dead person can talk to this guy and still remembers that your name starts with, say, a 'G' - why can't they remember the rest of the letters? Is there some reason that my grandfather, for example, might not know whether I'm Gary, or George, or Gene, or Gail, or Gertrude, or ... well, you get the point.

I read Tarot. I have no psychic abilities whatsoever, which I don't see as a hindrance. I just read the cards, which I'm pretty decent at. Sometimes I *can* get pretty exact information, just through intuition; I have before traced a problem to a connection with a certain event without any prior information for the person I was reading for, etc. But the cards don't have timestamps on them, just ideas which I put together to form a whole picture. I don't claim to be right or wrong with them, I just read what they say.

Coz in fortune telling, the fortune is not fixed yet. The future is still subject to changes, therefore we cannot pin point with any accurancy. I did tarot before, and found out that it was better to sound out the direction and cause of the reader's life, so that more can be done. It is a bit introspective for them

the thing about cards is that they are not an exact science they give the most probable out come at that exact moment which is why in my experence the past cards are usually right on but the future ones are shakey. thats why i believe it is wrong to charge i give readings for free because i know that the future can change at any moment. turn a cornor stub your toe and change your future. get me?
