I am an Atheist and I was asked to help out for a fundraiser they are holding for Homeless and drug addicted teens. I really want to help out since I was raised in a group home and I know how it feels not to have anywhere to go. The problem is one fellow has taken it upon himself to "save" me, He lectures me about Jesus Christ and God all day, I have told him that I'm fine with his religion I just do not believe in a higher power. He seems to become angry and frustrated with me and I end up being paired with someone else in the group. Everyone else is fine they are happy that I am helping, Even though he requested I be paired with someone else he still makes it clear to me that I should convert and convert NOW. I still want to help because I believe this is important, I stand out in the snow for 8-9 hours collecting money for these kids. I just need some insight as to what I may say or do to make him give me some space about the issue and physically. Thanks.

It would be like having a girlfriend who is with you for your money? I think God loves those who have faith no matter what religion. remember when God created man he didi not create many religions...we are all from the same place.....I cannot believe that a faithful person can kill another person in the name of God, when the person they killed believes in the same God....ie jewish, christian, or muslim we all believe in God.

England put their clocks (time) back 1 hour this last weekend, 28/29 October, so it will get dark earlier (by 1 hour) than it did last week and this will stay in place until the spring when the hour is put forward 1 hour for the summer months. My question is: did America do the same this weekend?

i really like this guy - and he likes me too - he has asked me out on a date - but i've heard from everyone who knows him (including my brother) that he is a cassanova. I also know that hehas a girlfriend (who he says he is breaking up with - yeah right). My only problem is that he is so sweet like all players are. Yesterday we were talking about how some women can be so homely that they look like a man dressed like a woman. My 15 year old daughter said "Yea, like your ex." My husband became defensive and said. "Do you always have to be insulting?" We haven't been married long, so the testing time is still going between these two. So the fight was on with her being tacky and him telling her she was being rude and me telling her to quit being hateful. Then he was angry with me because I giggled a little at her quick wit with the opening remark and the fact that I didn't outright tell her to shut up. But after him defending his ex's beauty of 20-25 years ago, all I could think was that he still loves her, so I was trying to curb my thoughts so that this didn't come out in a family discussion.Was he just defending his taste of 25 years ago and correcting my daughters insulting dry sense of humor, or is he truely still having fond memories of his ex so much so that he feels that he has to defend her?

And now i think hes afraid that the same thing that happened last year is going to happen again this year ** last year his gf thought that i was tryin to steal him from her -- and everyone kept saying that i dont need to worry about it becusz shes just jealous and that shes just worried becusz i could take him away from her if i wanted to. and they kept saying the same thing to him but they also added the fact that he knew i liked him so basically the said (( u know she likes u, and **gf's name** is afraid that shes gonna take you away from her))

If we're born in a Muslim family and didn't question, we would be CERTAIN that the Koran was 100% correct and Islam was the truth. When we're in a Christian society/family and taught similarly, we are CONVINCED that Christianity is true. Some Muslims are SO sure that they willingly blow themselves up. If that's not faith, then I don't know what it is. But faith doesn't change reality. So who's right?

i have a 2000 chevy s10 2.2 liter flex fuel. I drove the truck around all weekend and every thing was fine. No noises, gauges all read fine. It was very cold This morning, and i went outside to start it, and i heard a loud sound like the engine was shaking. I shut it off then waited a few minutes, now when i try to start it the engine tries to turn over, but it stops and all i hear is the belts or pulleys spinning. I just replaced the alternator a couple months ago. Any body have any ideas what this could be.
