I loved my significant other for 14 years until I finally caught him cheating on me to a woman....Once I seen that..he tore my life apart and broke my heart.....It's going to take awhile for me to trust anyone since I was with him for 14 years...You kinda forget how to go about finding a mate after awhile, but LORD willing I know I'll find Mr. Right someday again...in the meantime I am in no hurry and enjoying my new found freedom, although he manages to find me, trying, crying and begging me to go home...I believe in this quotation "Once a cheater, Always a cheater"...but I do still Love him deep in my heart...but I know he'll continue cheating, because once you've tried female genitalia when you're gay, you'll always want some more, then you've switched to being a bisexual...It is not for me...

What a moronic question.
Not that the questioner is a moron, but the question is oronic.
Do heterosexuals? How do we know? Especially since it's been drummed into everyone's heads how heterosexual marriages are only about procreation, that would in fact be associated with pure lust. Not love.
Yes, of course we experience love. Where anyone ever gets this crazy idea that we don't is simply ridiculous.
Not to mention the fact that gay and lesbian couples don't always engage in physical sexual activity. Whether due to illness or physical inability, but they definitely experience LOVE.
There's no more lust involved than with heterosexual couples.

Let's reverse this question. Do heterosexuals actually experience love or do they only experience lust? Just like with ANY relationship gays AND heteros will experience both love and lust. Believe it or not we ARE actually capable of having meaningful and permanent relationships! (GASP!!!!)

I have experienced love, love is a wonderful thing and it should be experienced. As far as lust, hasn't everyone experienced lust? Gay, or straight? :)

They experience the full range of emotions including Love as well as lust, not to mention anger at being asked such a ridiculous question. There are others who claim to be able to "know" what it is that we experience, they are adept liars but liars none-the-less.

Yes, gays experience love. Lust fades, attraction fades, just like in heterosexual relationships. What remains is love and the desire to be together.

Well since I've been in a monogamous totally committed relationship to my partner for 26 years, I would say it's love. Oh yeah, definitely. We were hand fasted in the beginning and again at our 20th and will probably do it at our 30th and so on. There is no one else I desire. And there is still lust there too!!
