About a month ago the red STOP light on my Xsara started flashing on and off, but after a minute stopped flashing. The car was running fine and I was miles from home so just kept driving. In the last month the STOP light comes on whenever it feels like it, but never when I am on motorways or fast roads when I am doing 80mph or more. The car is still driving fine. The only thing I can think maybe a problem is the handbrake. I was told 3 months ago when my car was being MOT'd, that the handbrake needed some attention very soon. Which is one reason why I am reluctant to take my car in. I don't want to fork out money for the handbrake - I just won't park on a hill. The light by the temperature gage also comes on at the same time, but the water level in the radiator is fine. Whilst it seems to drive fine and this light keeps flashing, I just think I will leave it.

I would really appreciate any advice.

If willing is superfluos to humans, why do we fail so many times after making resolutions? We cant be certain of a million things in life. For example, can death be averted just because we willed it off. We cnat decided and determine how things will be a few days down the road? So, whats the case for free will?

I'm very interested in the field of forensics. I want to know more about what exactly they do. I could research it on the web, but I want real and true answers, not glorified statements about the career. Is it generally a good job? How about the pay and benefits? So this will be a really long question, but its a very complicated situation. Any help would be appreciated.

I asked a boy to Homecoming last Friday(We'll call him "Ben") and he said yes. I didn't know that the next day, at a party, "Ben" hooked up with another girl (we'll call her "Alice"). Ben and Alice decided they would go to Homecoming together, although they both knew that I was supposed to go with "Ben". On Tuesday, "Ben" got his friend to tell me he was going with someone else (without specifying that it was "Alice"). I was heartbroken. People would go up to "Ben", even some of his own friends, and tell him what a jerk he was. "Ben" would say "Shut Up, I don't want to talk about it." Then, a day or two later, Alice decided she would go to Homecoming with another guy, and not "Ben." All this week, & at our football game, I saw "Ben" looking at me a lot. I didn't go to HC & I don't know how he feels about me. This is SO 3rd Grade, but what can I do to get "Ben" to like me?

We are doing quadratic equations in class and I need help in trying to find the TWO x-axis's.

I remember that to find the x-axis you make y equal to 0. But for example take this equation:

x (squared) + 5x + 4 = 0
x (squared) + 5x = -4
Then what am I supposed to do with the squared, do I square root it?

I also have another question..

In this equation:

x = -b + (square root of) (b(squared) - 4ac)
----------------------------------------------
2 (a)

is that how I find the two x-intercepts! please help! thank you!
