Not only are the Romance languages easier to learn, once you have learned Latin, music, medical and legal terms are also easier to discern.

They are all descended from Latin, but once there is about a 20% difference in vocabulary it is considered a separate and distinct language, not just a dialect. Catalan is considered a separate language from Spanish, and it is closer to Spanish than Latin. But knowing Latin or any one of these languages would definitely make it easier to learn any one the others.

There is one more Romance language....Romanian!!
Their root is in latin and they are considered their own language and not a dialect of Latin.
It is true that many people have an easier time of learning the romance languages if they study Latin first, since each of the languages share many characteristics.

They're not dialects, but unique languages. They have each been influenced by contact with other cultures and many other factors. It is indeed easier to learn the Romance languages if you know Latin. It's also easier when you already know one of the Romance languages to start with. I can speak Spanish and Italian and am currently learning French. Pronunciation can be a bit tricky, but overall it's not that difficult to learn these languages with one of them already under your belt.

They aren't dialects, but they did all descend from Latin. If you speak Latin (or any of the Romance languages) it is typically much easier to learn the rest as many words are very similar, as are syntax, sentence structure, etc.

Those four languages are the romance languages, and I think that they all came from some form of Latin, so yes, I believe that if you do learn latin, those languages would become easier partly because they are related, and otherwise because you have already learned one language.

No they just split away from latin just like english from germanic and trust me learning latin won't help you much but if you know french you'll learn italian faster which is the only language close to latin and if you know portuguese you'll know spanish faster...

there are different languages to that have split from latin romanian certain dialects of poland aswell and some dead languages that were closer to latin.

YES that is absolutely true...I don't know Latin personally but I know a lot of Spanish and some French and Italian and all are very similar. But yes they are all tied very closely to each other...for instance in Spanish you would say "las miserables" and in French "les miserables".
