PC Magazine had an article on these in the Nov. 06 issue, and I'm curious what your thoughts are about these? Do you recommend one above another (not in terms of diseases it fights, but in terms of how effective it works on PCs and how configurable it is for things like CPU usage.) PC Magazine had a few listed, but I'm cuirious to hear about your experience with other distributed computing applications.

Thanks.

My employer was recently aquired through acquistion by a corporation. I'm being told by my boss that following certain procedures of the new corporation isn't necessary and that I should use my best judgement (doing as previous employer's policies and procedures were). Curious if doing so will come back to bite me.

Isn't the mexican/american border over 2000 miles long. Wouldn't that be like putting a bandaid on a laceration? So much for keeping illegals out I guess.

It could be Sun Java, if that matters. I have something when I open AOL that says Java in the top right corner of the opening page, but not Sun Java. Is that the same thing as Sun Java? Thanks for any info you can give me!!!

With accusations of virtual kidnapping, coercing and bribing governmental officials of third world countries, have things gotten out of hand? Is some kind of international reform needed?

ok maybe my question was unclear. for the person who answered this last post. i know that i don't have active tb but the test means that at some point in my life i have been exposed to the germ, term latent tb(LTBI). all the research that i have done on this says that the 2step test can't give a false + but i say sometimes there are a few rare people who break all the STANDARD rules. is there anyone out there that this has happeded to? (neg. pos.)( neg. neg.)(the results of 2 different 2step skin tests taken 14mo. appart)everyone says not to take the test ever again if you test + that you will always test +(apperently not true). also the meds. used to treat LTBI (inh) NOT SKIN TEST can cause headaches. has anyone experienced this side effect? what about allergic reaction from the test (tubersol)not b/c of possible LTBI?
how hard is it going to be to get this straightened out w/health dept.? i suggest that you go w/your gut, get a 2nd opinion sometimes the standard rules can be wrong.

What qualifications do you need? I am asking on behalf of my niece who took and participated in several music courses, choirs, and bands throughout high school. She plays multiple instruments and is an accomplished singer and dancer. She is very good, but her grades weren't good enough to qualify for a scholarship...not bad...just not great. Her family does not have the money to send her to college to get her degree in music. I know the military will help her get the college credits AND she can use the discipline it will instill in her. Any thoughts? Any cautions on recruiter promises, etc.?

Ok this is going to sound slightly strange but i've been looking for the name of a song for EVER now and its quite famous. I have some of the lyrics;

na na na na na na
i say that i need you
na na na na na na
i say that i want you

( it could possibly be the other way round)

My daughter recently began public school after attending a private school for the past 6 years (k4 - 4th grade). She is currently in the 5th grade and her teachers just informed me she is at least 1 to 1/2 yrs behind according to the public school standards. I thought providing my child with a private school education would give her a head start when she stepped into public schools because of the small classroom size and the curriculum, and she received nothing but A's B's there. I've spent thousands of dollars on private school, but it now it looks like I'll have to spend more for tutoring intensive work to catch up. Is there anything I can do about her former school?

Sold DVD'S to buyer item was in mint condition and never watched unwanted gift. Have just received email stating items are damaged and they want refund. The damage has been done on transport with GPO. I'm a honest seller and have 100% feedback and I don't think I should have to pay for the GPO fault. If I get hassle from the person again what do you think I should do. Post insurance was not offered to customer however recorder delivery was however was declined.

When I start my computer nothing happens on the screen and I hear uniform long beeping sounds, and the powerbutton doesn't work and to turn off my computer I need to remove the powercord.

The screen remains blank- all the fans are in operation, and the disk drives function. On the back of the computer there are 4 indicator diodes which are glowing red- except one that is glowing green.

I am confused- is this a problem with the powerbox or the 3d card? Perhaps something is loose? Help please.
