The arguement as I see it from the religious right is that the gay lifestyle isn't in line with Biblical principle, so to allow gays to marry is to show an acceptance of gays.

But aren't people like jews, muslims, atheists and agnostics also living a lifestyle that is not consistent with the Bible?

When will Chrsitians admit its not about God or the Bible but their own homophobia?

I am honestly asking the question. I am not saying that ii is wrong in anyway shape or form. I would just like to understand better.

When I was pregnant I made it clear to everyone that I didn't want anyone but my husband and I in the delivery room. I am close with my family and love them all dearly but to me it is such an intimate moment for a family (meaning mother, father, and any other children in the family) to experience. Unfortunately that wasn't the way it ended up happening as my husband was unable to attend. I guess I just don't understand why someone would need more support then just their husband?

I just started learning Derivation in my Intro to Deductive Logic class and i was wondering if there is a relation between truth trees, truth tables, sentence derivations and truth functionality, consistency, inconsitency and so on. Are the three (tables, trees, and derivations) related somehow? If so, what does one tell you about the other, if anything?

I was in love with a high school sweetheart 20 years ago. After a year of long distance college we broke up. When I tried going back to him a year later he was with someone else. We kept in touch sporadically and then lost touch. Now, 15 years since our last meeting I accidentally found we live in the same state. We are now both married with children with no intention of leaving our spouses and families...however I was suprised to find I have strong feelings for him still and I think he might be "the one." He says that I was his first true love of three major romances, his wife being the third. He very much wants for us to be friends, introduce our families and keep in touch because as he says I reman "dear" to him. He knows I would have an affair with him if he asked, which is sad but my heart is what it is. My question is, is he trying to keep his options open? Its so hard for me to be friends with him but I don't want to lose him altogether. Thoughts please.

I make beautiful intricate hand-beaded jewellery as a hobby. How can I translate this into an income while studying at University in the US? Do you think an internet business would work for me? And what would be a good structure for such a business? Just trying to get ideas here. The broke student gig isn’t going to work for me for the remaining years.

I just recently got setup to work from home, I work for a call center and when using my headset I pick up two different radio stations on it...I can barely hear the customers when they call in. Should I call the phone company or is there something I should be able to do to remedy it?

I bled on Friday and some spotting over the weekend, not very much. Friday was enough that would normally fill a light or regular tampon. Since then only a tiny bit. I have an untrasound tomorrow and am scared. I don't seem to have cramps, but they want the ultrasound just in case. Anyone experience this and what was the outcome? I am 10 weeks today.

We inhertied an adorable, lovable resucue puppy last week. We're quite attached to her, as is the family Coonhound. To me, she looks like a boxer. One the way to the vet this morning, I was stopped by animal control, who said we can't keep her because she's a bitbull. I asked the vet, and he didn't think she was a pitbull, that she looked like a brindle boxer mix. The animal control officer stopped us on the way home and I told him that the vet didn't think she was a pitbull, but that she was mixed. Since the vet could not specifically say she is not part pitbull, but only that he didn't think she is, that was not good enough for animal control. I called city hall, and the cheif of police came down (one of two officers in a one-horse town) and he took one look and said, "She's a Pit."

Is there any reliable resource out there to help figure out what kind of puppy she is? We don't want to lose her if we don't have to. If she is part pitbull we need to find the right kind of home for her
