I just recently got setup to work from home, I work for a call center and when using my headset I pick up two different radio stations on it...I can barely hear the customers when they call in. Should I call the phone company or is there something I should be able to do to remedy it?

I actually have this problem on one of the phones at my house. We only have one land line, so if it was a problem with the phone line the phone company says it would be happening on all the phones. As it turns out, it is only on one phone so the phone company says it is the phone. I'd try not using the headset for a couple calls and see if it is a defect in the headset and if that does nothing, see about using a different phone. It's all trial and error. Good luck.

Most likely you have high power Radio station somewhere in your neighborhood. I have the some expedience in Chicago with WXRT. At that point I was steal using modem to connect to my ISP, Signal from WXRT was so overwhelmed, that my modem was assuming that the line is busy. There is some things that you can do. First try to see if you have any phone in the house connected with unnecessarily long cable that is coiled-up. If you do cut the Cord to the point tat is just straight. If your phone was installed during the last 10 years or so then you have a box called 'telephone network interface" You can open the door with screwdriver and unplug the the line that goes to your house. Plug any phone in that jacks and call someone. If you can hear the some radio station interference, you can call your phone company it is their problem. If you don't then problem is in your inside wiring. If you pay for "linebacker" they you can also call your phone company. If you don't have this option, then they charge something like $120/HR or so. I will check all the connections to make sure that every one is tight and making positive contact. My problem was very sample: about 25 FT of telephone cable coiled and hanging on the back of my desk. Once I cut it, my problem disappear. Good Luck
