I went to a legitimate computer store. I have updated my xp. The window pops up automatically and updates it. I dont understand why IE7 doesn't work. I am not trying to get something for free. I had an old version of windows on here and paid to get it updated and to have more ram put in.

You cannot download Internet Explorer 7 if you have an illegal copy of Windows. Check out your windows whether it is genuine or not.

If you are using an original Windows XP program let it be validated. My OEM Windows Xp was down from a virus attack. And I wasn't given a master disk. So I had it reformatted using a friend's legal copy which was not registered. She only use her pc to do her assignments. When I had it validated I got back my original product key number. I was so happy. Now my friend can register her copy as well as get updates. Using a pirated copy is not good and dangerous. Using an original copy has many advantages.E.g. You can also get a free Windows OneCare online scanning for genuine XP users. It not only detects virus and spyware it also removes all invalid items. But it takes a long time tho'. But I think it's better slow but safe. My other licensed anti virus program could not do that. Now my pc is running faster and smoother.

WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) has been cracked. IE7 has also been cracked - ie installing Full IE7 Final onto cracked Windows. The process basically involves using a number of re-engineered dlls which you overwrite on top of your existing ones. You can Google search phrases like "wga crack", "ie7 crack" to read about how it's done.

BTW, Microsoft cannot deactivate an illegal version of Windows XP when it visits their site or any other way. I use a fully cracked verion of XP Pro with cracked IE7 Final, and it all works perfectly without any nag screens or nag bubbles/system tray grumbles.

Internet Explorer 7 has too many flaws in it right now. So you shouldn't download it anyway. People aren't looking into this program before installing it and are running into all kinds of problems. So, while you're waiting to install, maybe you could go to online help and find out what the problem is with the windows validation...
Good luck ! ! !

If you have an illegal copy of XP then there's no point in trying to download IE7.

1. Microsoft can now trace illegal copies and will shut down your computer soon.

2. You won't be able to get Windows Updates without a legal copy and your computer will be vulnerable to security attacks.

Do you have a original windows? You need to download a genuine validate software from microsft and install it so that this prove that you are using a genuine windows. This is not related to the connection. Download a cracked version of IE7 but it IS ILLIGAL

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! you were just ripped off....(if you paid for a pirate copy of windows), microsoft WILL tag you EVERYTIME you go to their site.
if you did not really know it was pirated, you can report it to microsoft, "but" if you did , serves you right.
