Some sun - but not hot weather would be ideal, good sites to see, cheap shopping and good value for money is what Im after.
Id really appreciate your advise!

Spain is lovely - not too hot in December and you could hire an apartment or villa very cheaply for the period. Lots of markets and lovely beaches down towards Marbella. You can drive or get a bus down to rock of gibraltor for the day, play golf, eat fab food.............Look on www.marbella.com and then search under accommodation for rental opportunities.
Also look in british magazine 'the lady'. It has has loads of fabulous accommodation in the ads at the back. also some interesting adventure trips.

Try the Caribbean. Most places are all inclusive, and there are some pretty top notch hotels out there. Try Le Sport in St. Lucia. You get free spa treatments for every day that you're there! The weather will also be very pleasant at that time of year too.

The dun is out all year round - you cant go wrong. Or if your adventourous, try Brazil - but thats REALLY hot!!!
Failing that - the canaries are ok
