I've read "The Da Vinci Code", and I think it's great, but after reading "Digital Fortress" I started to think (even if DF is more more more interesting than TDVC) that Dan Brown's writings are umm.. quite similar.
What do you all think?
What do you think I should read (something interesting)?
Please give me some recommendations..

I've been involved in a 12 step program for years.Someone said something last night that got me wondering...Is it possible for a Politician, used car salesman or an attorney to work a rigoriously honest program? The reason this came up is that these careers tend to operate in self serving gray areas or sometines outright lies, just to protect their own interest, make a profit, or to retain/get more power. There are three types of lies:

#1. Lies of comission, where people just don't tell the truth, and outright lie.

#2.Lies of omission, where people tell part of a story, but not everything that needs to be known.Just to protect themselves from consequenses or loss.

#3.Lies of asention, where people act like they agree with you,but in reality they don't agree with you at all.

In these Careers people "usually" tell these lies on a daily basis. So how can they do that, and work a rigorously honest program?

I say "usually" because not all of them lie,or are in recovery.

I would LOVE to hear anyones stories on pregnancy hormones or how pregnant women behave.

We had an amazing five month relationship before we found out she was pregnant. (due next month, im very excited!!)

My girlfriend is VERY stressed and angry 24/7 and has only been getting worse since about week 4.

At around 14 weeks she dumped me saying I dont care about the baby, a few weeks after that she broke off all comunication with me.

I havnt been violent or abusive and obviously care about becoming a daddy authough I probably should have shown it more.

This cant just be all hormones could it?

Were both in mid 20's and before anyone asks... YES IT IS MY BABY she's the most trust worthy person ive ever met.

My friend had met an old flame in Feb & had felt all the old feelings for him flooding back. She asked me to cover up for her, but I was very reluctant to do so, but gave into her, as i thought she deserved a little happines as her husband had been violnt to her in the past and if their marraige was over it was over. to cut a long story short the guy agreeded he still had feelings for her and wouldnt mind seeing her from time to time but didnt want anything serious as he had a partner and a young child and would never give them up. We were leaving the pub one night wen her husband turned up and saw her hand in hand with this guy they had a huge row and she left her husband for two weeks and stayed with another friend of ours. she and I went to the pub the week after the row I told her it wasnt a good idea. The guy told her after what had happend with her hubby he wanted no more to do with her. She is now back with her husband and has told him and everyone else that it was me.

I have 95 Toyota Corolla that is leaking oil fast. The leak is at the front of the car. What could be the possible probelm? Head gasket? and if so what would a mechanic charge to fix? Anything would be helpful in diagnosing the probelm and having an idea how much it going to cost to fix. Thanks

very often we hear that some phycho has entered a school and shot down small children. when we see or hear this news, we all are shocked, but is there nothing else that we can do about that.

why not just ban these weapons from being sold out in the open and deny access to the general public. why not have a very strict policy of issuing licence. won't this at least curb voilence to a certain extent. why should we live in the fear of having to confront some stranger who might be armed and might cause destruction to life and property. can't something be done about it.

This year for some reason I'm having the hardest time trying to think of something!? Whether it be from the 50's, 80's, or current...i just can't come up with anything?! I'm sick of those normal costumes you can find on any website...I need to find something that i can make and have fun with!! Any suggestions would be great!!!! Thanks!! ;-)

My fiance has been Desperately trying to find his daughter. Years ago when he was a teenager he got together with a girl that he worked with. She became pregnant, and had a little girl. He never got to see the baby except for once from a distance. The mother of the child ran away with the baby and it just about broke his heart. Mind you this was years ago. The baby is about 17-18yrs old now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can find either the mother of his daughter? We have just recently engaged and he is determined to find his daughter BEFORE we get married. While I want to get married within the year, I want more for him to find his long lost daughter. Any one with any info that might help us, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help. Please. Thank you!
