Fear.We live in a society that worships youth .Aging is seen as frailty and weakness. It is also a reminder that we will ,God willing, be old some day.It is used to be that your elders were respected and their importance in the family and society was a given. We are afraid to get wrinkles, let our hair go grey or try to find "hip" names to be called instead of grandparents. The movies really have no leading men or women that are mature looking.Don't let the media fool you, old age is not a gift given to everyone.Embrace it and live life to the fullest. We may be older, but we're not dead. Does anyone remember the song line that says "I remember when forty was old"
