One of my friends who has helped raise his nephews from the time they were ages 5&7 until now( they are 25 & 27) recently told me that he's never gotten a thank you from them for stepping in when their father abandoned them. Their father went to jail and when he got out he made no effort to be in their lives at all and paid no child support what so ever. My buddy became a major influence in their lives as far as a male goes. He taught them sports, kept them from gangs and really taught them to become fine young men. But it bothers him because neither one of them has never came to him and expressed any kind of gratitude for what he did for them. Maybe i would feel that way to, i don't know, but i told him that i'm sure they appreciate it, but i guess it would be nice for my friend to hear it from them. Is he making a big deal out of nothing? Or does he have a right to feel this way? Need some good advice on this one!

If I weighed 9 stone and my bag was 10 kg over the limit, they charge me. But a guy weighing 15 stone with a bag up to the limit doesn't pay more, yet he would 'cost' more to fly in terms of fuel use.

when i was made godfather to my younger cousin 15 years ago, i was in fact a practicing satanist. i did mention this to my auntie and uncle at the time but i dont think they were listening. when asked during the christening ceremony if i renounced satan i replied no but the minister just carried on. does this in any way compromise my position as godfather?

do some people get just enough of the christian germ to be inoculated so they never really catch the disease. If one is only inoculated should they be told left alone to "not grow" which is a sure sign that they were just inoculated.
sorry bout the gross analogy but how else to explain shortly??? An old preacher gave me this analogy 30 years ago and in my walk I see what he was saying, but what to do??

I watched a show on The Discovery Channel about the possible earthquake and Tsunami. I live in Northern California and it worries me knowing that it can happen at anytime.
Does anyone else have a huge fear of this happening?
I want to move, but it's so difficult. I have no idea where to go to be safe from mother nature. I know she's pretty mad. Does anyone know a safe place to live?
I know this might sound like a stupid question, but I have looked, and don't have much luck.
