I'm in Louisiana and need someone to re-shingle my roof "take old ones off and put new ones on", I have 30 squares and have about a 6/12 pitch. I will buy the materials myself and I have a group of people that will do it for probably almost anything I give them,I want a real good deal but I want to be fair. Can someone give me a good estimate on what I should pay them?

Which is better, ANG or USAF, in terms of getting more flying hours as pilot-in-command? I already have a privte pilot's license and an as*s-whooping PCSM score of 97 and would have no problem getting a pilot's slot were it not for my eyesight, which is about 20/200 in both eyes (though I am considering PK eye surgery which supposedly is approved by the Air Force). Supposedly the ANG has less stringent vision standards so I might not need eye surgery if I went Guard. Also, if I joined ANG could I be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan? (I'd be happy to go to either country as long as it meant getting lots of flight time) Normally I would pose these questions to an ANG recruiter, though folks are always telling me to beware of what a recruiter tells you (my apologies to any ANG recruiters who are reading this, no offense intended).

I have some friends that have been going through some very difficult times lately (evection, new baby, downsizing) & are getting slowly back on thier feet. I helped them move (which they asked) & have been helping them unpack (fire hazzard). She has post partdum & a teenager & he is working 2 jobs to pay the bills. They have six cats that are going on everything. I offered the use of my washer/dryer & the girl gave me 8 trash bags of clothes which later I discovered were all hers, non sorted & covered in cat ****/****. Nor did they give me soap or dryer sheets. I know they don't have $, but I'm feeling a bit like a servant. Clean & dirty are always on the floor & they forget to throw out the trash or do the dishes for days. (I've thrown out pots full of maggots). They have enough stuff for two families & no shelving to speak of. Should I continue to help or am I enabling them?

My husband's b-day was yesterday & I didn't know what to get him so I did something I thought he would love. I'm quite reserved in bed so this was out there for me. I bought him a pair of sexy boxers and a skimpy nightie for me. I put the boxers in a gift bag along with a can of whipped cream along with a beautiful card and a naughty note and left it on the bed. Then I went to shower and shave down south (something he has told me he really likes) and slipped on the nightie. (This was all the night before his b-day). Found him in bed and he said that he liked the gift but he was extremly tired and asked that we wait until the next night (his b-day) I was disappointed but agreed because I knew he had, had a rough day at work. So his b-day I had to go to the store around 9pm and when I got back he had the kids in bed already and asked if I was ready to go to bed which is usually the signal for 'I wanna play'. So I quickly get the house locked up and get ready for bed.

posted a question last night ( you can click on my name to go see this question if you want :P ) in short a freind of ours helped out my son at the playground when he didnt really need the help. my main question was ( and i am sorry for not posting it correctly ) should i be upset for the way she spoke to my boyfreind? ( my sons father ) after her leaving the bench we were all sitting at , helping my 4 year old son when he didnt need it she came back to the bench. my boyfreind told her that our son could of helped himself. ( my son even whimpered a little after - as if to say " i want to do it! " )she b1tched at us for " be lazy ". ( i have a broken foot and use crutches ) she really focused her crap on my boyfriend though. the two of them pretty much fought about the situation for about twenty minutes. my boyfreind has raised my son for 4 years and has done a great job. she just totally embarresed him in public, told him he was a bad father, and even tried telling him how to better take care of OUR son. should i be upset at this freind? or should i just let it go?
