Everyone has secrets, if not secrets then atleast stuff they'd rather certain people wouldnt know about. For example suppose you have a girl who you're interested in (or a boy for that matter), you wouldn't probably like her to know how you cheated in your last relationship, no matter what the situation was at the time. We all have things in our past or in our present we're not too proud of. On the other hand, we might have things we do like to do and won't stop doing no matter what, but we still think other people might judge us because of those things, so it's safer not to let them know.
It's important to notice that we dont even have any obligation to tell everyone everything.
