sugar pie has the answer but forgot labor costs and the markup on food is more than 1/3 or you wouldnt be in business long....

Overhead = fixed expenses that come along every month. Stuff like rent, utilities, taxes, insurance, salaries, office supplies, yellow page advertising, etc.

Usually overhead is 1/3 of what you charge for food. Overhead = 1/3, Cost of food = 1/3, and profit is the last 1/3.
