I recently had my thyroid taken out and now i am gaining weight. Which isnt such a bad thing, I weighed 93 lbs before. I like having more meat on me but I don't want to much. What kind of excerises can I do to keep that from happening? Do I need to eat very little food? Any good suggestions? Please help.

I keep bumping into this guy at work everyday and I see him at the cafetaria for lunch. Our first meeting is very fresh. We met at an office party and I noticed him for the reason that he was constantly staring at me???!He came up and spoke to me that day but I was in a real rush and had to leave the party. Since then it has been a casual hello now and then, and yes, we are still continuing the 'silently looking at each other' bussiness. He tries talking to me at lunch....but the real problem is that I freeze whenever I see him and dont get my words....i know he has been trying to talk to me but....looks like I am making a fool of myselves by not being normal.....I wud love to talk back and start a conversation too...but I guess I am just missing out on all the chances....since I see him at lunch only. I have been noticing that since 2 days, he has been acting not-interested, and god!!!...pls...I dont want to loose this guy!!!.....pls...help!!

I dont want to start a trans-atlantic argument, but do British people feel that the way Brits are portrayed on US TV is quite narrow and not representative?

For example, a lot of Brit characters in US TV are well-spoken ('posh'...) or snooty ('posh'...) or other such things and they drink their tea at 11 and so on...

Does this give Americans and other people the wrong, or a narrow view of what Britain is. A lot of American stars will say 'Oh, I love Britain, so quaint, and you speak so nicely...'

In fact, Britiain has 'quaint' locations, as does America.
It also has 'rough' locations, as does America.
And it has some of the best and biggest cities in the world, as does America.
We also have tonnes of diverse accents and cultures - not just those who 'speak nicely', as does America.

Is the representation of Brits on US TV responsible? Or am I totally off the mark? Are we represented evenly?

I remember Bobby Fischer (one of the greatest Chess Prodigies of the world) was arrested when he tried to leave Japan on an expired Passport. He was convicted of a felony in absentia (I think that is the word). My question(s) are this.
a) If you are convicted or have an arrest warrent for a misdemeanor and you apply for (or renew) a passort will they keep the passport?
b) If you are convicted or have an arrest warrent for a fellony and you apply for (or renew) a passort will they keep the passport?

The reason I ask this is because I heard lots of Americans leave the country to avoid prosecution and I wonder how they stay out of jail if their passports have expired and they cannot renew them. Yes, if they marry and get citizenship not a problem. but, what if their passport is about to expire. So, please answer the 2 questions for your 10 points. Thanks!

nobody's perfect..my boyfriend cheated on me 4 months into the relationship. we split up but got back together and have been so strong since...we confide in each other and spend a lot of time together.. we are best friends now. our families have met each other and things have been great.
4 days ago, we both had plans of going out seperately with our own friends. he went out with a friend of his whom i don't particularly like(bad company) and i went out with one of my girlfriends.
i came back rather early and @ 6am, i gave him a call. he told me he was in an expensive hotel and that he and his friend shad booked 2 rooms after their nite out (one friend had come from out of town). i called the hotel to check out the story and thats where he was.
my hearts of hearts tells me nothin happend but because of last year, i can't help but feel that maybe he strayed again...
i don't know what to do. when confronted, he apologisd for not calling and promisd nothin happen. is he lying?
