At first i wanted to be in the army , i was 260 and they told me to loss 40 pounds and i did that. but when i was at 230 i wanted to join the marines. but i have to be at 209, so now i'm at 222 and i can't loss the last 10 pounds. what happening?

Hey I really really want to learn how to cheerlead. Im 12 yrs old...turning 13 in April. I want to cheerlead beacuse it seems like a fun sport NOT beacuse I want to be popular or anything. My parents think that a couple fo girls in short skirts waving pom poms and cheering after some football players is a bad influence and NOT a sport. I really want to try it but THEY WONT LET ME!!! Please help me i needa know a way to persuade them!!!!

A lady walked into a drugstore and told the pharmacist she needed some cyanide right away. The pharmacist naturally was concerned by such a request and asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?"

The lady then explained that she needed it to poison her husband. The pharmacist's eyes got big and he said, "I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband! That's against the law! I'll lose my license. They'll throw both of us in jail and all kinds of bad things will happen! Absolutely not, you cannot have any cyanide!"

The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.

The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied, "Well, now. You didn't tell me you had a prescription."

Why is it today, the way our parents and grandparents were raised and disciplined is viewed negatively. No one wants to discipline the "old way". But, if you think about it, they turned out fairly well. Our elders are gentle, friendly, faith believers but young people today are running rampade doing what they wish.
Is society today afraid our of young. Do we really care about their futures? If they are to be the leaders of tomorrow, we need to guide them in the right path.
If it worked for past generations, IT WILL WORK today!

I found my dog about a year ago. After putting flyers up and not getting any responses for about 6 months, we decided to keep him. We think he may have ran away from a nearby kennel. This kennel does not treat their animals very well by the way.
Well the vet I have been taking him thought he was 2 years old. So this whole time I've been thinking he was 2. He acts like a young dog, very energetic. But then I took him to a new vet today and he thinks that my dog is at least nine years old!!! He said that he can tell from his teeth and his little gray patch near his mouth. Which do I believe? How can I tell?

Everyones skin contains about the same amount of melanocytes even though people are of many different colors. How is this possible? This was asked in my A&P class today, and we were all floored!
