And that endless consumption can only lead to complete destruction? For those of you that have had an aquarium, what happens when you have too many fish and do not clean often? A fish tank for me is an example of our world do you agree?

It would require that everyone think about more than his own interests and wants. Notice I didn't say needs? We are entitled to meet our needs. Greed is what is destroying the world.

Every individual is primarily and naturally focused on their personal fitness. Yeah we conservationists acknowledge the endless consumption but if the HUGE enterprises that our society survives on don't change, well, most people won't change their habits. Some might tweek them to feel better about themselves, but unless everyone realizes the impact of billions of tweeks together. It's a tough issue.

I agree. If we don't stop draining Earths resources and start using ONLY renewable sources of energy, food, manufacturing materials, etc., our planet will basically choke to death, just like those fish.

The impact of Man and the mark that he leaves a lot like water. We tend to spread out as our volume increases, and our effects are everlasting.

People do realise that. We are working on it damnit!! I know a lot needs to be accomplished but we're on it! Biofuel, space tech... etc.

And btw, use the term "finite space" a little carefully. You don't want to piss the physicists off.
