Why is it today, the way our parents and grandparents were raised and disciplined is viewed negatively. No one wants to discipline the "old way". But, if you think about it, they turned out fairly well. Our elders are gentle, friendly, faith believers but young people today are running rampade doing what they wish.
Is society today afraid our of young. Do we really care about their futures? If they are to be the leaders of tomorrow, we need to guide them in the right path.
If it worked for past generations, IT WILL WORK today!

I understand that every generation has it's problems. However, our generations are not being disciplined or either being made to feel like disciplining is cruel and inhuman. I'm not speaking of "beating
a child. True discipline that teaches our kids the right way and encourages them to stay on that path.

This sort of nostalgia is a think of the past ( ha ha) seriously. you would have to turn the clock back and make EVERYTHING the same to get the same result. and also you do not realize how messed up it was back then and how messed up those people got. everything was a secreta nd phony. they started WW I and WWII and the Korean war and dropped the first A-bomb. do not sing their praises too highly. Iw as there and it was tough in the fifties and from what i have read it was bad in the forties and the thirties and also the twenties ( years not ages)
manners and appearances were more important, but it was all a false impression and a house of cards that concealed the sicknesses of society. at least now we know how sick we are and some of us have the decency to be ashamed and some try to make it betetr. you have to admit there is a problem before you can solve it. earlier genertaions lived in blind denial.( and they LIKED it that way)

Yup. It all started when we kicked God out of our schools. Secular Humanists think they are smarter than God, and have pushed their agenda to the exclusion of all else. I said it twenty years ago. WHAT IF THEY ARE WRONG??? What if their grand ideas don't work out like they expect? They have forced their agenda on everyone in the US. IF they did get it wrong, this entire nation is at risk. We could well turn into a third world nation within another generation or two. And frankly, after what this society has done to me and my kids, I really don't give a damn anymore. This society does not deserve to survive.
