OK, guys & gals, this is very depressing and confusing to me. Here is what happened : An ex girlfriend called me saying she had an abnormal pap and found out she has high risk HPV. She has not had any other boy friends after me and we know for a fact that if she has HPV she had it when we were together. I might have given it to her or if she had it first and I didn't it is very likely that I have it too now.

What exactly am I going to do about my future relationships now ? I would never ever NOT tell a future partner that I am more than likely Human Pappiloma Virus positive. But I feel like 99.99% of the pople out there will dump me or never even start a relationship with me after I tell them. I wish there was a test for HPV for males, but there isn't.

So is my love life dead forever ? Will I ever be able to have a relationship and be able to have sex without infecting someone with an STD ?This is an awful situation.

Any ideas / comments / personal stories ?

I am watching the fantastic reality series THE FIRST 48 on A&E. The homicide detectives go to Liberty City in Miami and find a dead man laying on the threshhold of his own apartment. Why doesn't the crime scene automatically include the apt., especially since the front door is open and the victim is laying on that opening? If no one else lives at the apartment and no permission can be obtained from an apt. manager/owner to search the place, why can't the officers start gathering vital clues inside the home to help them find the killer? The more time that goes by, the less chance they have of solving the murder. Also, does anyone know roughly how long these search warrants can take to get? Are we talking 15 minutes or 15 hours? Lastly, does each state differ on this search warrant issue or is it a federal matter? Thank you.

what happens to the gastro intestinal (GI) tract of multi-cellular organisms when they feed on the most basic food source (i.e. amino acids, lipids, glucose etc)? theoretically, Is the length of the GI tract reduced? would the stomach and some other parts still be present through thousands of years? or would the organism evolve to something of lesser GI length? i mean, if the organism feeds on the most basic components, wouldn't the stomach and other parts be non-functional?
