i mean, yeah, most people wake up in the middle of the night sweating, wishing they were obese and had limited reading capacities, but, come one

Most Americans don't feel this way. In fact, most Americans have little regard for most of the world because they are busy iwth their personal lives and their families, just like everywhere else in the world.

Americans who do think about foreign relations, fully understand that we are not the envy of the world. We are envied by many poor and oppressed people who risk their lives to get to our shores, which is pretty amazing considering the size of the oceans. We see the immigration statistics and can estimate the illegal immigration stats as well. Yet, we know much of the industrial west and the Muslim countries view us with disdain because they don't care for our current leader.

Still, we are not the most conservative western democracy out there. There are things about the U.S.A that I wish would change, like abortion and the death penalty. Those are both self-centered, and unenlightened holocausts.

Most Americans are not here to be envied. Most of us are here by birth and we seek safety and prosperity like everyone else. Most of us also seek charity and peace. Our literacy rate is quite high, especially if you play with the numbers like some countries do. Our educational system has been limited for a number of years because of our desire to make everyone equal. This is a failed experiment and it dies a slow death. But, I think the U.S.A. will learn and persist just fine. As for obesity, this is a disease of all affluent societies. I pray that we come to terms with this as well.

However, if people from other countries can get past their own patriotism, they might spend more time considering the problems in their own countries and help to fix them. A person from Luxembourg gains little by running down America. They would do better to find the faults in more local politics.

You probably see many U.S. citizens on vacation in your countries. It's hard not to judge us all by the acts of people who are on vacation, or by what you see in Hollywood movies. Just let me tell you, that is a very skewed view. We do not judge your country according to the immigrants that come to our shores. Many will judge according to news reports of protests against America in your country but that must be expected. If there was some big rally in America that opposed some act of The Netherlands and their queen was burned in effigy, dont' you think we'd hear about it from them?

Anyway, it's not biggie. We have big shoulders. We'll tend to our business. And when you really need us and ask for help, we'll tend to your business, too. Don't pretend that WWII was the war to end all wars. America didn't start that one.

So, yeah, we aren't envied and that's OK. Rich people hate us and poor people run to us. Still we thrive and grow. We've got our problems. Can you help us with them. We have already been made aware of plenty of problems. Can anyone dig in with us to help in the trenches?

Thanks for providing this forum. God bless you and your nation.

What you are doing with your posted questions today is describing the backside of the moon. You are making judgments and giving opinions on something you know absolutely nothing about.
You do not live in the United States. You have no idea what the people think, how they act, or how educated they are. You don't display much character yourself. You have demonized 300 million people without even giving it a second thought.
You, my friend, are the most dangerous type of individual. A person who makes judgments based on second hand information is gullible and easily led into trouble.

The tone of your question seems to betray that YOU think Americans are the envy of the world.

They don't. The rest of the World thinks that Americans sit around thinking about them and imagining them envious. In realitly Americans are running around worrying about their own problems.

As much as they hate us they'd still like to come here (at least for the cash).
But I'm not looking at it in an egocentric, Jerry Springer viewer kind of way.
Other's DON'T like us, but they don't mind cashing in.
Nobody's noble.

Because American is rich. Also because American don't know quite a lot about other world. They only like their own things, football, holllywood....
If they turn their high head to around, they may be better.
I don't believe all of them like that. Some of them.
