A) The question is [let u and v be vectors]:
prove that ||u+v||^2 + ||u-v||^2=2||u||^2+2||v||^2
and interpret the result geometrically by translating it into a theorem about parallelograms.

I went about proving the statement component wise, resulting in 2(u1)^2+2(u2)^2+ 2(v1)^2 + 2(v2)^2 = 2(u1)^2+2(u2)^2+ 2(v1)^2 + 2(v2)^2; however I don't know how to translate that into a theorem about parallelograms. Am I even attacking this problem in the correct manner?

B) Find the parametric equations for the line that is perpendicular to L1: x = 1 + 2t, y= 2-t, z=4-2t and L2: x= 9+t, y=5+3t, z = -4-t, and passes through their point of intersection

I found the point of intersection at (7, -1, -2) and I know that there is no y direction, but I cannot seem to find the x and z direction. Pretty much I need to find a and b in the following line but i do not know how.
x= 7 + At
y= -1
z= -2 + Bt

Any help on either would really be appreciated! Thanks!

My Sister in law forged a check of mine. She said she really needed the money and that she would pay me back. She has a three year old son and said that they were going to shut the utilities off. If I press charges she will have a felony and mabe go to jail. It has been quite an ordeal for me too trying to track it all down and make calls and what not. So just saying give me the money dosen't feel like it's giving me any justice. And if I do there will be some tension in the family I don't even know her that well. What should I do?

Perhaps the authors themselves are not writing well enough to keep the attention of its readers, a challenge perhaps in this day and age of computers, Internet, and premium television channel programming, its a challenge.

Or perhaps the reading skills of many are lacking, they are not able to keep up with there own brains capacity. What do I mean? The brain says, "Dude, you are boring me with the slow reading, put the book down, says the brain."

People commonly refer to muscles as being 'tense' or 'tight'. My girlfriend, for example, when she gives me a back massage, will say 'wow, the muscles in this spot on your back are really tight'.
I don't really understand this. Your muscle fibres are tight when you contract them, conciously or not. A contraction must result, however, in a movement, or a counter-contraction from an opposing muscle. How can a muscle be 'tight' in absence of movement or counter-contractions?
