The First thing you do is write out your equation so that (x+2)/(x-3) is equal to 2.
Multiply both sides of the equation by (x-3)/(1) so that the (x-3) on the left cancels out. you should have (x+2)=2(x-3).
Multipy the 2 throughout the parentheis so you end up with (x+2)=(2x-6).
Now you just need to pu your variables on one side of the equations by themselves. Do this by subtracting x from both sides. (x+2-x)=(2x-x-6) this should give you 2=x-6.
To get the x by itself, add six to both sides 2+6=x-6+6, the sixes on the left cancel out, and you are left with 8=x.
Now you just need to put in your sign from the beginning of the problem, so that the equation reads 8 is less than or equal to x.

first multiply both sides of your equation by x-3. Now you have x+2 <= 2x-6. Now we add 6 to each side, getting x+8 <= 2x. next we subract x from each side, getting 8 <= x.

less then, where x= -4
2 is really 2/1
cross multiply
so 2x-6 = x + 2

x+2
-------- <= 2
x-3
Multiply both sides by x-3
x+2 <= 2(x-3) Expand
x+2 <= 2x - 6
subtract x from each side
2 <= x -6
Add 6 to both sides
8 <= x

x+2 <2(x-3)
x+2<2x-6
x<2x-8
-x< -8
x>8**
** you have to change the sense when dividing or multiplying by a negative.
