For those of you stating you want to defend your country, I laugh at your statements. IF you knew anything about the politics and policies of this country, you would know, it's already being sold to the rest of the world. The smartest president to ever live stated when he left office, "Beware of the military industrial complex." I bet less than 50 percent of the "American" people even know who said it. Ignorant Americans wave the flag and simply get led like sheep. The US is and has been losing it's economic power for a long time. Outsourcing is at this point one of the main ways for companies to stay afloat. China and India are the two main nations that companies in the US outsource to. Some of you may even know about Dell having been caught outsourcing IT(old news) and lately insurance companies caught outsourcing to India as well to cut costs and stay IN BUSINESS. The political machine has shut down and is falling apart. A patriot is someone that not only protects their nation from the outside, but also protects the nation morally, economically and politically from within itself. Thomas Jefferson had written in Declaration of Independance (I'll paraphrase for those of you not intelligent enough to understant) that the citizens have a right to overthrow the current government and institute another if the current govn't fails to server the needs of the people and is a detriment to serving the people and the nation. The Japanese lost in WWII to the US but are now kicking our *** economically. This nation is so into debt from future borrowing. It's serving the purpose of the few, and the masses are eating up the sound bites fed to them. You people are followers and we need more REAL LEADERS for this nation. America at this point HAS nothing to lose. Instead of thinking so isolationist, the US NEEDS to use the sources other countries have to offer and stop getting shafted at every turn. Use what this nation can to it's advantage.

BTW - trying to use something like the Euro for the Americas would be disasterous for the US for years before it would be able to recoup. Economically, it would create a communist ideal. Why should the Mexicans work so hard if their currency will become as strong as the USD? In theory that idea works well but in practice with HUMANS, its not effective. Unless Mexico was economically competitive with the other nations, then it really has nothing to offer other than the labor that can be outsourced keeping the current companies still afloat. One of the biggest reasons the EU did so well is because they had so many nations that joined who were economically strong. However, look at the GBP, it's very competitive to the Euro.

We worry about whether we are going to teach evolutionism or creationism in the school and nitpick everything untill we've lost focus of the big picture of WHY this nation was created. I doubt half the people who claim to be Americans even know what it was for and to what degree we have strayed from it.

Let's get back to building this nation and stop worrying about petty issues that are already being used by AMERICAN CORPORATIONS.
