was getting what you wanted. It comes under the guise of "be careful of what you wish for, it just might come trure", but it is a little different. If you had all you wanted what would there be to hope and live for? Isn't pursuing what you don't have is what makes life worth living, and not just in material terms. It could be a perfect relationship with a person or with God, or the ultimate adventure of a lilfetime. If you have everything, what is left to pursue? Could you be happy knowing there are no more worlds to conquer or Nieman Marcus stores to shop? Alexander the Great wept when he knew there were no more worlds to conquer.
