it means that your cervix is not soft. it is still high and hard. you can try drinking red raspberry tea. that helps to ripen your cervix. just make sure you get the all natural tea from like an herbal store and not the flavored stuff from the grocery store.

sounds like you are trying to deliver when you are ready rather than when the child is. You shouldn't be induced to accomodate anyone's schedule. The only time you should be induced is if you are at least one week overdue; otherwise you are being induced to satisfy someone's agenda rather than for health reasons. How will you deliver any easier with an "unripened" cervix just because you are induced? I think by ripened cervix you mean the point where the cervix thins out. This happens naturally during labour. Induction will make this happen, but it isn't necessary to induce to ripen the cervix. Make sure your child's health is paramount here, please. Your delivery of this child should be on her agenda; labour is begun by hormones released from the placenta, which is the child's tissue. Induction jumpstarts this process, meaning it is not initiated when the child is ready. As I started by saying, you should not be induced unless you are overdue by at least one week.

My chum grow to be brought on at 6am august twenty third. her cervix grow to be complicated too and he or she didnt start to dilate good away. they had to interrupt her water. she had the toddler at 3am the twenty 5th, approximately 15 hrs after the water broke. it may take it sluggish, yet as long because of the fact the toddler's heartrate continues to be familiar and is not in misery only wait and notice.

I think this is a ridiculous plan. Let your baby come naturally - the due date is obviously wrong. The problems will continue if you let this medical intervention tamper with your pregnancy. It's really a poor plan.
