To clarify, what I am looking for is the source (author, title, page) for this doctrine that John Locke references in ESSAY CONCERNING HUMAN UNDERSTANDING, BOOK II,
Chapter I, paragraphs 10 through 19. I would guess Descartes or Spinoza, since they precede Locke chronologically. At any rate, the source in question MUST be earlier than 1690.

I had emergency laparotomy/laparscopy 9 days ago to discover I had a severe case of endo. My physician is highly recommending Lupron as treatment for 6 months. It is to trick my body in thinking I'm menopausal. If it's successful, It can help my recovery and reduce pain by stopping my periods basically that I know. When I see my doc in a few days to start the treatment, I'm not sure how long after the first treatment series if there'll be a continuance. I'm 19 years old and overall healthy. I wanted a family in 10 years, but now I'm lucky to have 5. Will the treatment affect future HEALTHY pregnancies? How long will I have to be off the treatment b4 I am able to even get pregnant much less a healthy one? Also I only have my right tube left (which was unblocked during surgery b/c of endo took great damage) My left tube ruptured with an ectopic 3 months ago. So my chances now are becoming lower and lower it seems though I've been maintaining hope.Any advice? Info pertaining NEthing

am an asian woman who has lived in australia, the US and France. the men of these countries treat me much much better than their women... white women condescend to me - as if they were somehow more intelligent or more precious than i am... no, no - it isn't upsetting to me anymore (after 20 years of this nonsense). Okay, I have to use the Binomial Theorem to find the indicated coefficient or term. The coefficient of x^0 in the expansion of (x- 1/x^2)^9. I did this problem and I end up with an x term in my answer (-1/x^18) which is completely different from what they have as an answer, a numerical answer. Please help me go through this step by step so I know what I did wrong and how to do this right...

I rewrote the expansion so that [x+ (-1/x^2)]^9

Then... I used the cute little shortcut so I wouldn't have to write out the ENTIRE expansion...

(n/ n-j) a^(n-j) x^j Note: There is no division sign here, it's just hard to separate n and n-j in this format.

n= 9
x= x
a= (-1/ x^2)
j=0

So plug and chug... (9 / 9-0)(-1/x^2)^9-0

= (9/9) (-1/x^18)x^0

= -1/ x^18

But that's not the right answer!!! HELP!!! What am I missing?

My sister, her husband and son were staying with her mother-in-law during the summer while they were renovating their apartment in the city. It's still not finished and now that school has started for her son, the drive was too long from her mil and she needed a place to stay closer to the city. I didn't invite her, she just informed me that she was going to stay with me! I'm VERY recently divorced with financial difficulties and living in a place barely big enough for me and my two kids.The mornings are crazy with 5 people trying to get ready at the same time since I only have one bathroom. Her husband is staying somewhere else. I understand this is hard on her family but how did this get to be MY problem when I already have so much stress? My sis and I have never had a really close relationship and during the hard times of my seperation from my husband, a whole month would pass and she wouldn't even call to see how I am. Are my negative feelings unreasonable? What should I do?
