Why is John Stockton the greatest player of all time? And as a side-note, who can I get him to Dj at my son's bar mitzvah?

his impressive stats is not what made him one of the greatest point guards in history ( all time leader in assist, all time leader in steals). it is the leadership that he brings to the team. when stockton goes to the bench, the jazz team is completely unorganized. when stockton is on the court, he brings everyone into the game.

John Stockton is an amazing player. That 3 over Barkley to put the Jazz into the finals in '97 was amazing. He has to be the most fundamentally sound basketball player of all time. Kids learning to play should watch tape of this guy. Not flashy like todays players, he out produced them all. Plus he was only 6 foot 1. Stockton to Malone!!!!!
He isn't Jewish, but good luck with the bar mitzvah. He lives in Spokane, WA so that would be a good place to start..

I even ought to flow with Stockton. i like Nash yet Stockton is the overall extra ideal PG. there is no doubt about that. Altough there are some issues that Nash can try this Stockton can not. And vise versa. actually Stockton although.

Greatest player of all-time no...but great yes! And I am really mad that Steve Nash is a 2 time MVP but Stockton has 0 when Stockton avg. numbers that Nash had in his MVP years...Nash's greatest years arent any better than Stockton's AVG years...

John Stockton was one of the greatest point gaurds of HIS time, but I would never consider him the greatest player of ALL time.

he's the all time leader in steals and assists. he isnt the greatest player of all time. he's the greatest teammate of all time. guys like other guys who pass them the ball and when you have more assists than magic johnson then teammates are really going to like you. i dont think john stockton is jewish by the way.
