Do you think it is right/fair that hispanics have to go back to Mexico in order to get their work permits?

Do you think it is fair or right that the only nationals that are here( hispanics) have to go back to Mexico, after applying for work permits and green cards in order to get them ? Other nationals in the US are not required to go back to their home country, or country of origin after filling out all the coorect paper work and paying the fees as well as fines, if any apply.

DSL Question. In my apt, I have a phone jack in the kitchen and two DSL plugs in each bedroom?

so, I am already wired for DSL. Does anyone else have this setup? I have called Yahoo DSL and they said that I still have to go through the phone line to get DSL. However, since my computer is in my bedroom, going through the DSL jack seems much easier (and should in essence, be easier for the company to install) Any thoughts/ help?? Thanks so much.

Abortion, point of view?

I have been reading alot of the topics on here about abortion and found that many people choose to quote the bible on such issues. Although I believe that those who use it as a form on birth control is abusing the option but....

what about the woman who has 2 children, both parties working to keep afloat who end up with a pregnancy. This is with birth control being used. I've seen it happen. What are they to do? How would they survive on only one income or do they put the child up for adoption and explain to their children why their sibling can't stay with them? Having them wonder why they were lucky enough to be kept?????

Or...the occassions where rape, and incest and other crimes are committed. How difficult it must be.

Before quoting the bible, before laying judgement, put yourself in someone elses shoes for that moment. If you had a family to support and knew that an accidental pregnancy would make your children suffer, would you proceed or abort? What if??

What's the fuel consumption of a small dinghy with a 5HP outboard motor?

I'm considering using a small boat to commute to work through a harbor. The distance would be 8 miles, and the speed I'm allowed to go is 5 knots (slow as hell, I know, but it's still shorter and quicker than driving). I'm only worried that the boat would use more fuel than my car (28mpg).
Would anyone know?

i have a version of nero that came with a dvd rom, can't figure out how to get it to burn dvd movies.?

call me stupid, but i can't figure this out!! i have some dvd movies that i downloaded and now want to burn them. have nero oem suite/6.6 that came with dvd rom i bought, but i #1 can't figure out what discs' i need dvd-r(rw) cd-r(rw), #2 how the heck to get them to fit & burn. Can I retake the ACT after I start college?

I dropped out my first year of college and plan to go back soon. but I want my test scores for my ACT and SAT to improve. Will schools go only by my college transcripts, or will they look for my test scores as well? If improving my test scores can improve addmissions to my first choice and increase the chance of scholarships, what am I waiting for? I need my test scores improved!! Will it count!??!

why do dolphins...?

why do dolphins...?
I heard on a program that dolphins have a thin layer of water surrounding their bodies that reduces and almost completely gets rid of any drag, and I was wondering what caused them to always have that layer? What makes it stay with them?

I originally posted this under zoology, but now I realize it probably has more to do with physics.
