by "young" i don't necessarily mean under 18 - a guy in his 20s is still young! . . . but i am seriously open to whatever answer.

Whenever you feel ready, but make sure it is over the legal age. Also, I'm sure you guys **** before then, and that could be considered a solo sexual life...

Well the day you feel you are ready to take the responsibility of a child...nothing is full proof so when you begin a sex life there is always the chance the person you get
involved with may get pregnant. So are you ready for that.....also the other things you could catch...when you find that right person and make that commitment the two of you will be responsible and safe...also ready to take on any problems that might rise like pregnancy..don't rush not everyone is not doing it...Make a wise choice it is your future....this may sound crazy but wait till you marry...so many young men become fathers at such a young age,I know a few and life for them is not easy.

This is a completely religious point of view but I firmly believe that waiting for marriage is best. Consider this, if we all practiced abstinence until marriage STD's would all but vanish in about a quarter of a century and unwanted pregnancies would be reduced to nil.

I think its best to wait until adulthood, but the average is probably 16-17, thats when most of my friends and I had our first experiences.

when you are financially responsible enough to raise a child if it happens and you have $200,000.That's how much it costs nowday to raise a child until they are 18 years old !
