Not if it produces income. He can write off depreciation and operating expenses on his income taxes. That much is very little compared to a custom semi tractor- trailer.

If it's something you want with all your heart and soul, NO price is too much.

Hush up and enjoy the ride while you observe the pleasure he is experiencing while driving it.

He's probably worked hard all his life and has never owned a new truck because of the burdens of raising YOU.

Not if it is customized that is a pretty good deal. Considering that a brand new truck can cost anywhere from $50,000 and up, some are around the $70,000.00 mark. It if likes it, then it's all good.

Customized vehicles are always for the one that can afford it, every time they add something you are told in advance how much it is, the prices are more or less standard, if your dad got what he wanted is never expensive,

Expensive is a realtive term. If household income is let's say $30K/yr. Spending that much may be too much. If it's a business investment, then who knows what type of income he may bring with it! Takes money to make money!

Well, I could not justify 52K for a vehicle of any sort. So I would say yes.

Absolutely not! If he can afford it, let him get what ever he wants.
If you support him in this, maybe he will get you what you want someday.
