My computer crashed (to make a long story short)- I had to get a new hard drive. I just installed Windows XP again. Now, I need to get on the internet- like I used to. My laptop has an internal wireless card. The tech told me it should automatically pick up the internet connection, but it isn't. Is there something I need to do to get it to connect like it used to?

there's this guy in my school... we both liked each other but noone made the first step... we liked each other for 8 months, and now he said he doesn't want to do this because he's sick of waiting.


now i can't sleep! i can sleep for max. 3 hours at a stretch.. i used to be sleeping beauty... i slept for 13 hours in a day. i want my sleep back =(

I purchased "girlfriend" 2 days ago & she has yet to eat or drink. Although, she seems healthy, she has begun to chirp, she wont move off the top perch, & is not playing with her toys, nor eating, or drinking. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to test drive and get some numbers. I'm not planning on buying it tomorrow but I would like to get it sometime next week. What are some areas I can focus on to get a better deal? I have a car I want to dump as a trade in. Realistically it's worth about 1500. I have a feeling they won't want to give me that much for it. I don't want a huge DaS fee but I don't really want high monthly payments either. If he offers a 36 month lease, would I get a better deal if counter-proposing a 48 month? Whenever I think about the universe, I cannot escape the concept that the dimensions are infinite - both in size and in time. I agree there must be a finite amount of matter in the universe. But if you took all of that matter out you're still left with an infinite void we call space.

I also cannot imagine the universe ever being created. I believe that the finite amount of matter in the universe has always been the same number but has existed in different mediums - i.e. gas, solid or liquid. The altering states of matter occur because of big bangs - which are just an infinite series of chain reactions. All of this has been going on forever and there has never been a beginning.

But this infinity means there could not have been a creator. If there was no creator then we're here by accident. We weren't created for purpose. When the end of the world comes, it won't matter. Maybe it's this lack of meaning/purpose which is unnerving for me?

for her question posted about working with a colleague that is hiv +?there were people that answered her question saying that shes a t*at and shes ignorant.how that??!!i dont think her question was offensive atall-if she is genuinely worried about it-it is her choice-i wouldnt want to work with someone who has hiv-why should you have to work with someone who has a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE???it is dirty and clean people shouldnt have to be around them.ive got a baby due in a few days so i dont work but my boyfriend does-and i would hate to think that he was working with someone who had it and then coming home and kissing our child.people were far to harsh to her-people that get these diseases-its thier problem-we shouldnt have to worry about catching it off them.
