The answer is firmly no! I have felt abused by the welfare system that rewards people for being lazy, lusty, and louts. We support them...for what purpose. Many of them are poorly educated and their children tend to mimic their parent(s) and instead of improving society, they drag it down. I realize it is difficult to draw laws to prevent it, but something must be done to curb this stupidity, not only to stop the leeches, but also for the welfare of the children. There are over 50,000 children available for adoption in the US, and many of these are handicapped physically or for prenatal alcoholism disorders or drug addiction, or even HIV. Many of them end up in foster care at further cost to us. We need to take a serious look at our society...all levels and begin to get a handle on what is acceptable. I would agree to food only...actual food...not food stamps...as the cards are used to bargain for cash to buy booze or drugs...but after the 1st illegitimate child, the woman must be on birth control...her partner should be made to have a vasectomy.

So all those "sluts" had to have a "slut" partner to produce those bastard children. Why doesn't the male partner be a real man and live up to his responsibilities? Oh, I guess it's okay for HIM to whore around with all those "sluts" and then leave them as soon as they make a "mistake"?

I agree with Locksmither. No government should not have to pay for the children . INstead of the goverment giving the mothers money to buy crack they should put the child in an orphanage immediately after birth or until the mother can support her baby.
I hope you are referring to both the men and women sluts!!! It's the fault of both parties. So many American women get pregnant just so they will get money from the government. It's bull sh** , and we the tax payers of the nation pay for this. It's absurd.

There are many points that should be considered here. If the child was deliberately conceived than both parents should pay for his/her up-bringing.

But if the man was merely having a night out what should he have to spend 15 to 18 years paying for a few minutes of pleasure.

After all, if a guy buys a ticket on a merry-go-round and has a pleasant ride, why should he have to pay when the merry-go-round breaks down a year later?

Women know, or should know, when they are ready to conceive. On those three or four days they should stay in church and not take on new tricks. Meanwhile the man has no idea when the "slut" is ready to conceive.

Your prejudice, anger, and misconceptions are showing. A single parent is not a slut, their children are not bastards, and they don't all get government funding. If absent fathers would take responsibility for their children, many that do get monetary aid would not have to ask for assistance.
