Traffic lights make you invisible for the duration of the light.
You can sing at the top of your lungs, stare at people in the car next to you and last but not least pick your nose and no one can see you....sorry you didn't get the memo.

We have been programmed...brainwashed. When we see red light, one finger just goes up to one of the nostril to dig and dig. When the traffic light turns green, we wake up, put both hands on the steering wheel, step on the gas and MOVE!!! Then we wind down the window and try to fling the sticky stuff off our fingers...hopefully to the next car.

Because they feel like grooming themselves, I see alot of people driving toward me with their fingers up their noses. Think of it this way, if you have an itch most people scratch it. Sometimes debris caught in your nose, which is just a filtration system for air entering the body get itchy, so you clean it, no big deal.

I see it all the time and the person always rolls the booger between their thumb and their first finger until they get bored with it and then they drop it and go in for another and then repeat the same process

It's safer to do it then, instead of while your driving and you can actually hurt yourself picking your nose when going around curves.

For something to do to pass the time while waiting for the light to change?

because drivers are distracted until the car comes to a stop. plus the boogers help a better grip on their cell phone. ;P
