As long as you don't keep them in longer than 8 hours, your fine. TSS was more common a while ago than it is today...though it is still possible. I recommend you change the tampon every 6 hours, if not before then. And, use the lowest absorbency needed...don't use a super if a regular will be just fine.

The pros out-weigh the cons. It is nice to not feel like your wearing a diaper all day long and worry about leaking from the pad. I always feel much cleaner using tampons than pads.

They are safe to use as long as they are used right. Change them every 6 hours (max), and you will be fine. It is also nice to use pads for bed to give yourself a little 'break', and then you don't have to worry about leaving it in too long.

You should use the type of tampon designed for your flow. Don't wear a super one if all you need is a regular one. You should change them twice a day and try to sleep with a pad to give your body a break from the tampon. You shouldn't have any problems or risks.

Tampons are perfectly safe as long as you change them at least every 8 hours. The risk is Toxic shock syndrome. It can happen if you leave a tampon in too long. It can kill you. It's also better if you switch back and forth between pads and tampons.

Your risk for toxic shock syndrome is greatly increased, the higher the absorbancy the greater the risk...it will take a bit of practice to get it right you'll know when you do, cause you won't feel it when it's in place, if you do then you have postitioned it wrong....for now don't use them all the time and when you do change it more frequently then the box suggests this will help you adjust to them and to decrease your chances of TSS.

I used to were tampons but now i were pads, my doctor told me it was better for a girl to were pads because tampons can give you ST D's and sometimes tampons can even make you sick but if you're still not sure you should talk to a doctor about it .

It certainly is a persons individual choice; what is con for one is pro for someone else; you just have to do your own research and testing.

there is no risk as long as they are changed regularly. some choose to use them for day and use pads for sleeping.
