I have spent many years overseas and know that American news agencies report differently than their counterparts in other countries. For example, American news tend to "candy coat" their reports as to make it suitable for the eyes of children and other viewers who have delicate sensibilities, where many foreign news agencies show the harsh truth of the story.
But have you ever felt that American News play politics when it comes to issues abroad- like war? Perhaps only showing one side of the story or making one side look like a "victim", while portraying the other side as a "villain"?

Do you see a difference in reporting styles? If so, would you prefer a more "blunt" style of interviewing/reporting from US news agencies? Or is the current US reporting style fine as is?
