It seems to me sympathy is more like an ego thing(feeling sorry for someone with the idea that I'm glad it's not me?) while empathy seems to have more of a spiritual side; it seems to have deeper roots(to not just feel sympathy but to actually connect with someone's suffering because we all suffer and feel pain so we know how it is).


Is there a vast difference between the two or are they just different degrees of the same thing?

I have a gateway computer....celeron processor, windows xp home service pack 2 (I know, I know.....it really sucks...) But it works, or at least it did until I got DSL. It worked for months, but then last week the internet stopped running properly. I open up IE which is what I've been using, and it says "Cannot find server"....So I go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections...and my connection isn't listed, it seems as though it isn't even registering. Tech Support says it's a problem with the amount of memory I have, but then why did it work for so long and then just stop?

Any suggestions on what to do? I'm thinking I have to just restore my system defaults and start over, anyone have any other ideas?

i have 5 foot skinny and i have dark brown hair with bangs that is about 2 inches below my shoulders and it is layered.

what should i wear for the first day of school? is it ok too look like i tryed a little bit on the first day? i was thinking somthing like a denim mini leggings a pink polo and a white lacy top under it then earings pearls and stuff.

but does that sound idk like it might not work?

i mean what is in right now?

would i be best in jeans or a mini?

My nephew may have cerebral palsy. He is one year old and is just starting to sit up for a short period of time. He aspirates solid foods into his lungs, has a hard time focusing and has very little muscle tone. The doctors have not diagnosed it yet because he had no complications at birth, but are saying they will probably end up calling it cerebral palsy. I keep reading that life expectancy and quality of life depends on the severity. His parents are in complete denial about it and say that he will be fine. I would like to know whether he would be considered severe or mild.

I have a husband and three boys. 17, 13, and 10. not a one of them can aim wortha t d*** if you know what I mean and they all have the attitude get off my back and leave me alone, I am stuck in this messy house.
