Why do the know-it-alls attack those who do not share their beliefs?
Fear of something?
Think they are better than everyone else?
Ignorance is life they have chosen?
Tolerance is not part of their life, but tolerance of their belief system is demanded from others.
Their abusive manner is to cover their own insecurity - do you agree?

Sokrates was asked "Who is the wisest man in Athens" he replied he did not know for certain but would find out. He questioned everyone who claimed to be wise but decided that each one in turn was less wise than they claimed. He concluded as he did not claim to be wise and knew that he was ingorant of most things that he was wiser than the others. Thus he went back and told the person "I am the wisest as I at least know I am ignorant."

This is why blustering morons are the most opinionated.

As I have said many times before, Wars are not caused by religion, but by those who in force their beliefs on everyone else
so maybe I sort of do agree, but again I prefer NOT to generalise

All men, including you and myself.
No one (except the Messenger of the One True God) knows what is the essence of his life, and he naturally or intentionally wants that all people must live like him.
So I think I get into this forum to learn, not to teach.

Larry S said it all.

Except that he thinks the internet is a country.

Jesus didn't go around knowing things, he was dumb and he wasn't afraid to admit it. We should all try to be more like Jesus.

Thank you Brother Larry.

I think part of life is to consider all others, abuse comes from a minority of all factions, usually young and inexperianced.

Yes I agree.

There's nothing wrong with expressing your views, even about another's religion. Thoughtful, constructive criticism from others can be a valuable teacher. What IS wrong is trying to IMPOSE your views on others.

Absolutely: doggone Christians...

Seriously, though: I think all of us think that our knowledge base is superior. Otherwise, one would be insane to protest one's views.

Though Larry S below might want to take a Prozak...
