I have a '02 Kia Optima with only 35K with the 10 years/ 100,000 warranty(They r the same car with the same engine). If I didn't have that warranty I know I would have spent over $5000 in repair. Right now the check engine light is on and the driver door will not open. The last time it was in the shop the hood wouldn't open and d O2 sensor went bad and that was with only 30K on the car. If u do buy a Hyundia or Kia buy it new. If u buy it used u will only get a 5 year or 50,000k warranty. Other then that, the cars look nice!!! :-/

Well, if you have any doubts, consider reading about the miraculous success that Hyundai is having. They only build 7 model therefore they can not have great success if one of those models were not dependable.

If that's not enough information for you, then go visit one of the Hyundai dealership's service department and see that they are strangely, and noticeably not very busy. I would assume that building reliable automobiles would be the only way that they could offer a 100,000 mile warranty. I personally drive a Mercedes-Benz however, I will tell you that I love all the new Hyundai models that have been released this year and also, how fascinating Hyundai has become so overwhelmingly successful. That is a comment you can depend on! Good Luck!

I used to own a Hyundai® Sonata, 1996, (I bought a Hyundai because they were one of the most affordable and dependable cars on the market then)m but that was when I was back in Korea. Now when I left Korea, I sold it to a friend of mine. One thing I really liked about Hyundai's service is the guaranteed powertrain warranty and stuff, although I only had to take my car in for small repairs (not frequently, maybe once every 2 years...) My friend gave me a call (yes I moved to Canada), and my friend says the car is still running fine. (10 years of excellence)

I am proud of Hyundai for their sucessful work. But here in Canada, I bought a Toyota (4WD SUV) and a Pontiac (minivan). I am planning to get rid of the Pontiac soon, and replace it with a Hyundai Sonata, once again!

I hope you that this feedback has been helpful to you - something you can depend on...

Hyundia is garbage - everyone I know who had one regretted the purchase. Buy a used American car - some one else paid the depreciation and you will get a decent vehicle and support your fellow countrymen.

The 06's and 07's are FABULOUS! Everyone I know that has one is COMPLETELY IN LOVE with theirs, and I'm on the road to getting one myself. The older ones work out pretty well as long as you keep up with the matienence. Don't buy one thats near 60,000 miles unless you know its had a coolant flush, transmission service, and a the timing belt has been done. Or at least looked at. Hyundai reccomends all those things at 60k

I work at a service centre..I must tell you that you get what you pay for..
1-the paint from maunfacturer is prone to flaking.
2-the V-6 has lots of problems
3-Brake jobs snowball
4-exhaust is very expensive
5-any car that you have to remove the air intake to change a spark plug i want to stay away from.

I dont want to sound negative..the interior is very well appointed..but its the downside that I see unfortunately see alot scares me bit.

i have had an '04 since new. It now has 40K miles and I love it. If I was to be in the market for another car I would be sure to check out the Hyundai Azera.

I sell Hyundai's and to be honest they have gotten better over the years. As far as how good they were I have no idea. But people are still buying them used and I haven't heard any complaints. What year are you looking for?
